Cookies galore!
Last night, I was an idiot and procrastinated on the two essays I had to write. It was a little after 2:00 in the morning and my friend Alexis and I were chatting on Facebook and then she asked me if I wanted to go to Insomnia Cookies, which is a glorious place that is open until 3:00 in the morning. I almost said no, but I figured I needed a bit of a reprieve from my essays. So we walked there and it was really calm outside, which was unusual. We asked for an oatmeal raisin cookie and a snickerdoodle. The guy at the register said it was three dollars, which confused us because they are supposed to be a dollar each. But we just went with it and handed me a box, which felt curiously heavy. When Alexis and I got back outside, we opened the box and there were TEN COOKIES inside. FOR THREE DOLLARS! And they are not small cookies. We were positively beside ourselves with glee. I guess they needed to clear out the stash because they make them fresh everyday, but STILL. So we had a little celebration in the lounge and ate too many cookies and it was AWESOME. I still can’t believe our good fortune. We’re going to go at the same time next week or something and see if it happens again.
So yeah, that was the best decision ever and made the fact that I stayed up until 6:30 a bit more bearable.
