Today was the first time in six days that I didn’t have rehearsal so naturally, I slept until 1:00, didn’t get out of my pajamas, and watched a lot of television.
Now I’m sitting on my bed going over a Dysart monologue from Equus and learning “Toucha Toucha Touch Me” from Rocky Horror.
An update was in order.
I have Speech homework that was due on Friday that needs completing, but there is nothing remotely interesting about listening to people talk and writing about what their voices sound like. Jen is not here right now, and it’s nice to have the room to myself. We have a floor dinner at eight and we’re having falafel and I am VERY excited.
Some things that have occurred:
1. Went to Apple Fest, and only three other people plus our RA actually woke up to go (it was at 11:00 on a Sunday) so we had extra money with which to buy delicious foods. We got apple cider, corn-on-the-cob, apple cobbler, and a basketful of apples.
2. Went to a Block Party in Brooklyn with Adam and his fake family.
3. Played two full games of The Lord of the Rings Monopoly in two days and was decimated both times. I am determined to win at some point.
4. Had a conference with my (awesome) Writing the Essay teacher about my essay and he said lots of good things about it, which restored my faith in my writing ability.
5. Watched a lot of As Told by Ginger. Adam has every episode on his computer and he, Alexis, and I have been watching it almost religiously. So good.
6. Saw the play Orlando, which was really good.
7. Went to Central Park last night for the screening of LENNONYC, but we got there too late and couldn’t get actual seats, so we had to sit far away on the sidewalk behind two fences with a severely obstructed view. It was good, but then it got depressing and we were all hungry and cold so we left early and went to Chipotle.
8. Ate too many Insomnia Cookies.
