1. I got into the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s apprentice program! It was completely unexpected because I had called them a week or so before I found out asking if they had notified all of the selected apprentices and the guy I talked to said he was pretty sure they had. Crazy times. So, I’ll be in Massachusetts from June 14th to August 20th. I’m so excited.

2. Hopefully I will have secured an apartment by the time I leave.

3. Being home has been extremely lazy, but knowing that I will be doing things pretty much nonstop for two months (without air conditioning) is making my current sedentary/hermit-like liftesyle seem sort of acceptable.

4. I have ventured out into the world on a few occasions, however, mainly to catch up with friends and get my hair cut and ride my bike. Okay, so not totally sedentary. But I have spent an incredible amount of time in my bed (both sleeping and doing nothing of importance on the internet. Exhilarating.)

5. Today I was in Old City with my dad and we found this vintage store that doesn’t have prices on the clothes (most of which are in huge cardboard boxes), but instead the cashier puts the clothes you want to buy on a scale and charges you based on how much everything weighs. Like a salad or frozen yogurt! So, I got two dresses, a shirt, and a pair of shorts for $20. Amazing.

6. I’m getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday and I am actually terrified.

1. I got an apartment.  Spoke too soon. Damn it damn it damn it.

2. I’m one final away from being halfway finished with college.

3. Today was the last day of studio, and my last day of being in the New Studio until senior year. Trying not to be too emotional about it.

4. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m 20 years old.

5. What am I, an adult or something?

The past few days:

  • Madras House ended
  • And we had our cast party (which was a lot of fun, but kind of disappointing in the end)
  • I’m realizing how much I’m going to miss everyone; the cast was remarkably wonderful
  • Apartment hopes and worries
  • Not a lot of sleep
  • Cupcakes
  • Last night, I wrote an 11 page manifesto about what kind of theatre I want to make (which felt extremely pretentious but led me to some really interesting ideas)
  • Tony Kushner was in one of my classes today
  • Ready for it to be summer

Friday night:

  • show
  • walked home in the unseasonably cold weather
  • opened a bottle of Martinelli’s with a spoon because I don’t have a bottle opener
  • drank said Martinelli’s out of the bottle because who gives a fuck
  • and made Trader Joe’s frozen pizza
  • while watching The Office
  • ate pudding
  • fought against a craving for Ramen
  • waited a bit
  • the craving won
  • bought Ramen at the bodega downstairs
  • am now cooking Ramen
  • and watching Community

SURPRISE! A list.

1. The Displacement Project was almost more than I could handle. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I kind of wish it wasn’t over.

2. But, that does mean that I can be at Julius Caesar rehearsals everyday now, which is great. We choreographed all of the death scenes today and they’re all brutal and fantastic and I’m so stoked about mine.

3. Today in Physical Acting, I stood on Carlton’s shoulders and we played a game called “Ghost Potato.”

4. I convinced my dad to grow a beard for the first time in his life but he shaved it off before I could see it in person (which was the whole idea to begin with!). So, obviously, he is going to have to grow another one.

5. My obsession with Sherlock is completely out of hand and not even okay anymore.

THIS DAY THIS DAY THIS DAY.

1. It was declared that I am not a criminal.

2. Ty and I celebrated by getting chocolate cake and pizza.

3. I took a longer nap than I should have and didn’t do the reading for my class.

4. But we are behind in the lectures anyway, so it didn’t matter.

5. I only had Displacement rehearsal for an hour and a half.

6. And then didn’t have to go to Julius Caesar rehearsal like I thought I did.

7. I GOT CAST IN THE TISCH MAINSTAGE THAT I RECENTLY AUDITIONED FOR.

8. Tomorrow I don’t have to be in class until 9:40 (instead of the usual 9:00).

WHAT THE WHAT.

For the record.

Summary of my Christmas:

1. “Rooms, motherfucker, do you got them?” “Nah man, that ain’t me.”

2. Monogrammed stocking.

3. Gifts! I got gifts! It was unnecessarily sweet of them.

Summary of my New Year’s:

1. Party #1: fruit and foosball and people I didn’t know (who were all nice).

2. Party #2: dancing (notably to “All My Friends” and “Hockey Star”) and sparklers and people I didn’t know (who were also all nice).

3. Alana’s apartment with Alexis and Maddy and being tired and watching A Knight’s Tale and driving home at 5:00 in the morning.

Summary of Arizona in general:

1. NATURAL WONDERS.

2. Mexican food.

3. Driving.

End of the semester.

My finals are done, Amanda is coming to stay for the next three days, I am slowly increasing my number of velvet clothing items, when I go to Arizona with Alexis we’re going to Disneyland (and Kathryn is probably going to come too!), I ate a bunch of ice cream tonight, I don’t have to wake up early tomorrow, I love my friends more than I can deal with sometimes, I am getting emotional about everyone who is leaving to study abroad, The Hobbit trailer gave me legitimate chills, it’s strange that the semester is over but I am so excited for the next one.

This weekend was weird

and consisted of:

1. Going to Brooklyn with Ty and Alexis, buying a pair of really cool shoes for nine dollars.

2. A New Studio actors party, at which I shared a bottle of wine with my friend Ben and had a generally good time.

3. Seeing A Bright Room Called Day at Tisch, another congratulatory pumpkin.

4. Alexis and I unintentionally having a party. There were like, fifteen people in our room. And it was strange and slightly overwhelming. But we did watch Halloweentown, which was pretty great.

5. Ty’s film shoot, at which Alexis, Connor, Spencer, and I bonded because we all had to sit in our underwear in the freezing Goddard classroom and then wrap ourselves in blankets and chase Thomas (who was wearing a bright red onesie) through Washington Square Park. ARRRRT!

6. Broome’s Murder Mystery dinner. My team absolutely dominated and won movie tickets. Honda was randomly chosen beforehand to be the murderer. Coincidence or prophecy?
